Dr. Issam Ghaben

Dr. Ghaben was born in Jerusalem, Palestine, and spent his early years there before moving to Egypt to begin his dental education at MSA University, where he earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and completed one year of advanced education in general dentistry before relocating to the United States to continue his professional training and clinical practice.

Dr. Ghaben earned his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with two honors. He received Honors in Clinical Dentistry after completing his final year of training in the Advanced Dental Clinic, where he treated complex dental cases, and also received the PASS International Student Award in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. After dental school, Dr. Ghaben practiced in private and multispecialty settings across the United States, gaining extensive and diverse clinical experience as a general dentist.

Dr. Ghaben later pursued advanced specialty training in Endodontics at UT Health San Antonio, where he trained under some of the most respected leaders in the field. During residency, he gained expertise across a wide range of endodontic treatments, including the management of traumatic dental injuries, regenerative endodontics, and endodontic microsurgery. In addition, Dr. Ghaben contributed to the scientific community through multiple research projects as both a primary author and co-author, helping advance the understanding of endodontics and dental science.

Dr. Ghaben is recognized for a patient-centered philosophy and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate dental care. Patients value his professionalism, advanced clinical expertise, and calm, empathetic demeanor. Dr. Ghaben regularly lectures to student societies, dental students, and general dentists, focusing on mentoring and supporting the next generation of dental professionals. He is also the creator and patent holder of the Dr. G Clipboards; an innovative workflow tool designed to improve efficiency and streamline daily tasks for medical providers.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ghaben enjoys outdoor activities that promote a healthy, active, and well-balanced lifestyle.
