Dr. Sarang Saadat
Dr. Saadat has been practicing dentistry since 2008. He graduated from the prestigious periodontics & implant surgery program of Virginia Commonwealth University. During his residency, he worked alongside some of the world’s most recognized periodontists and implant surgeons. He performs periodontal and dental implant surgery on a complete range of patients, with a focus on dental implants, wisdom teeth, bone regeneration, and soft tissue grafting.
After finishing dental school, he joined an oral and maxillofacial surgery team and worked closely with them for seven years. In addition, he completed a two-year advanced standing dental program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Right after completion of the program, he joined the oral and maxillofacial surgery department of UT Health San Antonio as an intern before returning to private practice. Then, he went on to complete a three-year residency at VCU, where he also received a Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Saadat has given presentations at a number of national and international conferences. He is a member of the AAP, AO, ADA, SWSP, TDA, and DCDS. He is a reviewer for some of the well-known peer review journals. He received the Excellence in Clinical Dentistry award at UT Health San Antonio in 2018, 2019, the Alexander Fellowship Award in Periodontics and Implant Surgery in 2020, and the Lynch Biologics National Bone Regeneration Clinical Award in 2022. The American Academy of Periodontology selected Dr. Saadat as a finalist in the Balint Orban Memorial Award, one of the most distinguished honors in the field of Periodontal and Implant Surgery in 2023. Along with his clinical approach, he participated as lead author and co-author on a multitude of scholarly articles and book chapters. He is currently a core member of a periodontology, genetics, and pharmacology research study that has funded $2M (one of the highest funding levels in the field) from the US National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Saadat believes in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and believes that communication among dental disciplines is critical to successful patient treatment.
